Tapeworms are common in dogs right, well they are very common in humans and not something that many people know. Here in the United States, human tapeworms usually start from ingesting the larve commonly found in pork.
Tapeworms left untreated can cause a range of symptoms including muscle pains, lumps under skin, and blurred vision; seizures, headaches, lack of attention, difficulty with balance; and more serious symptoms include discomfort in the upper abdominal quadrant, a cough, Jaundice, weakness, and weight loss.
Because tapeworms have both male and female gonades, the can produce their own eggs. Tehy require a host. The usual way infestation takes place is though infectd stool being absored into the sewage going into the storage. The tapeworm may also enter the host though an intermediate hoste such as pig cow or fish and a human wo eats the meat of infested animals, willl also become infected if they do not throughly cooke the meat.
Human Tapeforms have been know to live for 30 years inside their host and can be up to 30 feet long.
